Failure to replace your old pads can result in improper bedding in and may lead to heat spots and warping of the disc. We recommend fitting sintered brake pads for the front to give the best braking experience. Before fitting new pads – make sure the brake calliper pistons and any slider pins are free and working correctly, if they are stiff or seized they will need to be cleaned or replaced before you continue. A calliper that is seized or not working correctly can result in the pads not retracting from the disc, causing an excess of heat to build which cannot be dispersed in the necessary time, leading to disc warping.
