Breaking your new discs in – will take some time; you should especially bare this in mind the first time you ride your bike after fitting. Rezo discs usually take 100 miles to break in and you will notice them getting better the more you use them. Breaking them in should be done with gradual breaking at various speeds over time. Before fitting new pads – make sure the brake caliper pistons and any slider pins are free and working correctly, if they are stiff or seized they will need to be cleaned or replaced before you continue. A caliper that is seized or not working correctly can result in the pads not retracting from the disc, causing an excess of heat to build which cannot be dispersed in the necessary time, leading to disc warping.
