RF900 front caliper piston kit. Half the weight of the original part. Contains 1 x Ti pad pins 1 x Ti M7 bleeds 4 x Ti caliper pistons with TiN coating 4 x generic seal sets 4 x Titanium M8 bolts. This part was made as a performance upgrade to the original steel part which corrodes and damages the seals causing the caliper to leak. These pistons are machined from Titanium Grade 5 and have a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating which is harder than the metal beneath and will also reduce friction with the caliper seals. The coating also gives a beautiful gold colour. It’s a shame it’s hidden within the caliper. Titanium has an excellent property in that it’s a poor conductor of heat, so it’ll keep heat away from the brake fluid. There’s a wide range of standard sized fasteners as well as replacement fairing bolts, sprocket bolts, disc bolts lever bolts and allsorts to lighten your bike and just make it shiny. Titanium is more corrosion resistant than Stainless Steel. Some Titanium parts are actually cheaper than OEM parts even though the metal itself cost ten times the price of steel. Some parts are no longer available from the big manufacturers so we’ve had them made in Titanium. All items are actually in stock so unlike some of the large parts house you’ll get your part quickly. Titanium stuff snaps beyond OEM recommendations so if you snap a bolt, it’s because you haven’t used a torque wrench and are using hulk power.
