GSX-R400 front caliper piston kit. Half the weight of the original part. Contains 1 x Ti pad pins 1 x Ti M7 bleeds 4 x Ti caliper pistons with TiN coating 4 x generic seal sets 4 x Titanium M8 bolts. This part was made as a performance upgrade to the original steel part which corrodes and damages the seals causing the caliper to leak. These pistons are machined from Titanium Grade 5 and have a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating which is harder than the metal beneath and will also reduce friction with the caliper seals. The coating also gives a beautiful gold colour. It’s a shame it’s hidden within the caliper. Titanium has an excellent property in that it’s a poor conductor of heat, so it’ll keep heat away from the brake fluid. Titan Classics sells TITANIUM performance and replacement parts for motorbikes, cars and bicycles. There’s a wide range of standard sized fasteners as well as replacement fairing bolts, sprocket bolts, disc bolts lever bolts and allsorts to lighten your bike and just make it shiny. Titanium is more corrosion resistant than Stainless Steel. Some Titanium parts are actually cheaper than OEM parts even though the metal itself cost ten times the price of steel. Some parts are no longer available from the big manufacturers so we’ve had them made in Titanium. All items are actually in stock so unlike some of the large parts house you’ll get your part quickly. The post is done at least once a day. Everything is posted within 24 hours. Most stuff is posted 1st class. If you’re after a load of parts, you should be able to “add to cart” then request total from me and I’ll send it the most cost effective way for you. There are some countries I won’t sell to and that’s because I’ve had difficulty with the postal system in those countries. The list is, Spain, Greece, Israel, Mexico, Singapore and South America. This is to prevent more anxious customers lodging disputes too early with all the emails back and forth and then it turning up a couple of days later than they expected. If buyers lodge’item not recieved disputes’ I won’t trade with them again unless the part turns up and they pay for it. Torque bolts to the same tightness as the workshop manual says. Titanium stuff snaps beyond OEM recommendations so if you snap a bolt, it’s because you haven’t used a torque wrench and are using hulk power. EBC X/XC Serie – Vollschwimmende Bremsscheiben für das Vorderrad Diese Bremsscheiben ersetzen viele der LS (Links) / RS (Rechts) Bremsscheiben und können beidseitig verbaut werden. Der für die neuen EBC Bremsscheiben verwendete Stahl ist eine spezielle Edelstahlverbindung mit einem höheren Reibungseffekt als jener von herkömmlichen wärmebehandelten Edelstahlbremsscheiben. Mit der 10%-igen Verbesserung des Reibungseffektes wird die Bremskraft noch weiter erhöht. Das Gewicht der neuen Serien ´´X´´ und ´´XC´´ wird durch das 6-Nietensystem mit leichtgewichtigem Innenring um weitere 5-10% verringert, was wiederum eine Verbesserung gegenüber herkömmlichen Bremsscheiben bedeutet Die neuen Bremsscheiben sind mit dem einzigartigen und patentierten SD-System von EBC ausgestattet, dessen Vierkantnieten in den Aussparungen der Bremsscheibe unter der beim Bremsen entstehenden Hitze ein uneingeschränktes Ausdehnen des Außen- und Innenrings ermöglichen, ohne die Nietverbindung zu beeinträchtigen Eine derartige Beeinträchtigung entsteht dann, wenn sich die Bremsscheibe durch starkes Bremsen erhitzt und der Außenring die (normalerweise runden) Nieten berührt, die den Außenring vom Innenring trennen. Mit dem neuen EBC-System wird dieses Problem verhindert, das 100% der Bremsscheibendefekte verursacht, die durch ein Verziehen der Scheibe und Vibrationen ausgelöst werden. Was ist das SD-System? Es handelt sich dabei um das neue Vierkantnietensystem von EBC. Mit diesem System wird ein Verziehen der Bremsscheibe vollständig verhindert, die Lebensdauer der Bremsscheibe erhöht und die Beständigkeit der Bremswirkung verbessert.
